ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN
Connect the Dots is made up of three deliverables: (1) VELLUM PAMPHLET SERIES, translucent pamphlets that visually demonstrate and reveal the hidden and perpetual layers of history that are all connected to present day experience, exploring: model minority, yellow peril, and hypersexualization; (2) FOLDABLE ZINE & POSTER, a zine that first unfolds into multiple spreads where the reader is invited to physically draw and connect dots in an activity that prompts the reflection of their own experiences and identity. Ultimately, the zine unfolds out fully on the other side into a large poster meant to be read and then hung up on in a space of the reader's choosing; and (3) INTERNET ARCHIVE, an user-run online archive that aims to be an educational resource as well as a site of resistance, documentation, and rememberance. Users can interact with photos to learn more, as well as to be active participants of archiving and uploading their own photos as Asian American stories are seldom documented.
